The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University got a spanking new website today. Our observation is that the new website is a tad slow today. That said, it’s likely someone is working on fixing that. Aside from the speed, the website does seem to be an upgrade from what Tepper had.
In addition to a new website, Tepper also made some changes to its essays compared to last year. In the Post-MBA goals section, Tepper replaced the long-term goals essay with an essay asking about a Plan B. Additionally, Tepper got rid of a 300-word essay on transferrable skills.
As of this writing, there was a discrepancy between Tepper’s website and the online application wherein the website states that Essay 1 has a 200-word limit and Optional Essay has a 300-word limit but the online application specifies that Essay 1 has a 300-word limit and the Optional Essay has a 500-word limit. We’ve attached a screenshot from Tepper’s online application portal below. We’ve brought the discrepancy to the school’s attention and hope to see it fixed in the near future. Continue reading to find out Tepper’s essays for 2014-15.
(Update: Tepper’s website now is aligned with the online application form and the discrepancy has been fixed) Read more »
