Interview Invite Dates for MBA Applicants Applying In Round 2 (Jan 2020) to HBS, Wharton & Michigan Ross
With Round 2 MBA applications done with, business schools are now gearing up to send invites for interviews to successful applicants.
Harvard Business School, Michigan Ross School of Business and The Wharton School have announced their timelines for sending out interview invites to applicants who’ve managed to submit a successful application in Round 2 i.e. in January 2020.
Harvard Business School
Harvard’s timelines will see them send out the invites on 4th February at 12 pm EST (10:30 pm IST). Applicants who have not been successful will also be intimated. Following the invites, successful applicants will be required to sign up for an interview on 5th February at 10 am EST (8:30 pm IST) as per a convenient day and time. Interviews can be held in different hub cities across the world, or on Skype or on campus.
Michigan Ross School of Business
Michigan Ross’s process will feature two waves of interview invitations, with the first wave going out on 16th January, and featuring both international and U.S. applicants. The second wave will go out a week later, on 23rd January. Michigan Ross’s admissions committee has stated that international applicants will be prioritized during the review, so as to give them enough time to make travel arrangements for participating in a Team Exercise. Applicants who haven’t been invited for the interview will be given either a waitlist or deny decision on 18th March.
The Round 2 Team Exercise which will be hosted in Ann Arbor will take place on the following dates:
- Friday, Jan. 31
- Monday, Feb. 3
- Friday, Feb. 7
- Saturday, Feb. 8
- Monday, Feb. 10
- Saturday, Feb. 15
- Monday, Feb. 17
Some Team Exercises will also be offered in Sao Paulo on Saturday, Feb. 1, and in Tokyo on Saturday, Feb 8.
Wharton
Wharton’s Admission Committee has announced that the interview invitations will be sent out on 13th February at 5:00 pm EST (3:30 AM IST). The admissions committee will also notify candidates who haven’t been successful with their applications at that point. Invited applicants will be expected to complete their interviews by 6th March, with the interviews available on-campus with second-year Wharton MBA Admissions Fellows or off-campus in various locations across the world by Admissions staff members. These locations will be announced in the coming weeks and all interview options will be considered equally within the admission process. Candidates who are offered an interview will receive their final admissions decision by 5:00 p.m. EST (3:30 am IST) on 26th March.
